I had signed up for Heather's on-line class in December because I so loved her Sweet Messengers of Christmas project and wanted to make one of my own. Loved it! And now that I have Valentine's Day on my brain, I used her wonderful technique to make this heart-shaped decoration for my home.
Of course I can't give away the details of her class, but I just checked and saw that the class is still open if you want to sign up. Click here. By following her step-by-step instructions, you can ruffle-ize just about anything.
I added a layer of hot pink lace and an arrow I fashioned from dowel rods, ribbon and cardstock.
This bow was an afterthought, but it adds a nice dash of color.
Flowers and ribbon loops are tucked in here and there.
And speaking of love, my heart was overflowing from all of your baby girl comments. Thank you, my friends, for sharing in our excitement and joy!
Goooorgeous Andrea! I agree with Tiffany....I want to go ruffle something now. ;) XOXO,Jenn

Wow! That turned out fabulous, didn't it?! I love the technique and have to learn how to do that someday. I love that you created an arrow out of a dowel rod and ribbon, tres magnifique! My favorite part, however, is that you added the HOT PINK lace and ribbon (bow)! So many Vintage artists tend to shy away from anything that involves color. I love that you combined the softer hues with this vibrant and passionate one! Love that!

Your beautiful heart was featured on Tip Junkies, so I had to come check it out. The colors you used look so pretty even though not traditional Valentine. I may have to make one for my house. ;-)

I'm new to your blog and unfortunately neither of the link's is working so I can't find out who you took your class from to learn to make this cute wreath! Can you help me?

Andrea, this is so gorgeous! I know it's from last year, but I would love to feature it on an "I Heart Wreaths" posts I am putting up tonight or tomorrow -- with proper credit and a link back, of course.
Would you mind?
