I had signed up for Heather's on-line class in December because I so loved her Sweet Messengers of Christmas project and wanted to make one of my own. Loved it! And now that I have Valentine's Day on my brain, I used her wonderful technique to make this heart-shaped decoration for my home.
Of course I can't give away the details of her class, but I just checked and saw that the class is still open if you want to sign up. Click here. By following her step-by-step instructions, you can ruffle-ize just about anything.
I added a layer of hot pink lace and an arrow I fashioned from dowel rods, ribbon and cardstock.
This bow was an afterthought, but it adds a nice dash of color.
Flowers and ribbon loops are tucked in here and there.
And speaking of love, my heart was overflowing from all of your baby girl comments. Thank you, my friends, for sharing in our excitement and joy!
Gorgeous Andrea!

So pretty- love that you went with a tea color - and "ruffle-ize" is a great word.

Like the christmas wreaths it would look great on the front door over valentines day - the arrow is the icing on the cake oh and of course a bit of bling to :-)).

that's lovely. I'm going to make a heart shaped wreath, using an idea I gleaned from Gabrielle at Christmas. Having to change the idea a tad, as my fabric hasn't arrived yet and I'm eager to get on with things, so I'm going to use another fabric instead. Hopefully it will turn out ok.
Yours is just beautiful. You do such gorgeous work, and have a very definite style. I admire it very much :O)

Your wreathe is just beautiful. I took Heathers class and I loved my wreath I made, I still have to finish I part of it, it's hard to get the supplies here, so I have to wait until I can venture out!!!
Congratulations on your baby news, I have two granddaughters, Isabella and Sophia and they are the sweetest. I love to make things for them, they love all the girly things so it's really nice.
Have a wonderful week!
