This year, I was the Room Mom for Mario's pre-school class, and on the last day of school the teacher gave me a framed copy of this poem by Mother Teresa. It totally moved me and made me remember the whole point of everything we do in this life. I thought I'd share it with you....a little thought to carry with you throughout your day, weekend, month, year, life....
Do It Anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.
Thank you for sharing!

I really needed this perspective reminder today. Dealing with some issue in a group we are involved in and some other adults are trying to pick fights with several who really want it to go away.
Thank you - by the way - the rose in this picture is stunning.

I love that poem. If we could only dwell on that all day long when our husbands and children and friends let us down and things aren't going our way! Life is so much more than the surface of what we see!

Words to live by. I emailed that to my husband some time ago when he was having a particularly trying time at work. It's not always easy for him and a lot of times he asks himself why am I even doing this when I can work at our family's dealership make more money and be home by 5 every night. I ended it by saying "suck it up and do it anyway:)". I am such a military wife;)
