Step 1: Mix flour & salt. Cut in shortening, then slowly sprinkle water to achieve desired consistency.
Step 2: Prepare filling. Pour it in the pie shell and bake {after you cut out little leaves}
Step 3: Roll out extra dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll it up and cut into 1/2" pieces and bake.
Step 4: Have a very happy husband!
Happy Halloween!
Hugs,
Liz & Mabel

Andrea~ I just had to tell you, whenever I make a pie (and it's often this time of year), Sam must have his little cinnamon rolls made from the extra dough. I get all excited because I made him his favorite apple pie and the first thing he always says is, "You made the cinnamon rolls, right?" Your mom is a very influential woman. :)

Hi, Happy Halloween!
I'm sitting here all set for my trick or treaters, and thought I'd read some blogs.
Okay, first, great manicure. Second, darling dishtowel. Of course, would have anything else. And lastly, the pie looks dee-lish! George must be very happy!
Have a fun evening,
Mary
