Oh, and One More Thing.....
.....I wanted to show you. I found this pretty little thing during my craft store spree last weekend. It is a glass-front curio/shadow box case with a hinged door and glass knob. It's intended to be hung on a wall, but I knew as soon as I saw it that it would make a fabulous jewelry box! I bought two.....one sits on my dresser in the bedroom and this one is in my studio sorting out vintage jewelry that will be re-created into pieces for my Found Object jewelry and Bundles of Baubles. (goodies coming in April!)
With a glass top and divided sections, it makes perfect sense as a storage case, don't you think? You can see it all at a glance, yet it won't get dusty from being uncovered.
Here are some pieces up close. Onyx Beauties and Pearly Girls.
Sparkly Bits.
Old Buckles.
Pretty Favorites.
Shining Strands.
Functional and beautiful......I needed that.
Sorry about the glare from the glass here. I couldn't get a shot without it, but I wanted you to see the cabinet in it's entirety.
The box is at Michael's and is still 40% off girls!

LOVE that box (and the goodies inside) - can you hear my screaming my way to Michael's!

Oh my! I was just at Michaels. I'll have to go back and look. Okay - I'm going back to the book thing - you should so do one of those Blurb books that have been popping up. All of your photos are beautiful and very inspirational. You can even through in a few photos of your laundry if you want :)

Lovely...inspiring... and a little daunting as well. I think all of the pretties in the US made their way to your home already!
LOL... thanks for sharing your storage idea, I love it!

I know the exact box you mean. I've looked at it several times and wondered what I could do with it-just wasn't thinking outside the box enough! Love it! Going to take something back and take my coupon and pick one up!

Oh, Andrea...I saw this at my Michael's here in Calgary and almost bought it not once, but two or three times...I may just have to re-visit the store over the next couple of days. Thanks for showing some of your treasures.

Thank you so much for sharing your great idea of using these display units for "storage boxes". I hurried over to Michaels last night and bought two to store my pin collection. I've tried an assortment of different ways to store them(now they are in a three tier plate rack on my vanity - but they get so DUSTY) and nothing seemed to work well. What a great idea. I would have never thought of using these cabinets in that way!!!! Again, thanks for sharing. You're amazing.

Hi Andrea,
Thanks for sharing your find, as I was in the hunt to find just that kind of box. I just recently started going through baubles and trinkets from my mother which I had'nt touched, nor was ready to go through many of her treasures since she passed away a few years ago. I'm looking forward to my experience having fun placing each piece in it's special place.
Congratulations with your talents and ideas in the upcoming Somerset Life magazine. Looks like fun stuff to try out.
Happy days,
Karla
